Taken at the Renault World Series today this is the version of F1 car Alonso's took the world championship with being given a demo run. It was a lot faster than I expected and gave me and my Sigma a fair bit of trouble.

the plan was to catch the car going past the Renault Board. I was luck to capture the car far less anything else with the reactions of me and my camera. I may edit one later. Here is the shot as is with a mild crop

Taken at 270mm, f8, 1/1000 ISO 400.

Very sharp image of the car - and the sign behind conveys the sense of speed. I have difficulty shooting a ground squirrel, let alone a 200 mph car. Congratulations on this - it's awesome!

Nice and sharp John. Did you try any panning shots ?? that would have given even more sense of movement.

well thought out John, but if you'd been panning at 1/1000th, you'd have had the car in shot every time and the option to press the shutter as you passed the sign. Least thats how I would have approached it. Then you'd just choose the sharpest / one with the best inclusion of 'RENAULT' in it.

One minor niggle would be cloning out that little slither of white, top left.
