Whilst waiting for a long exposure to finish on the North East Coast i noticed the fading light behind me was slowing changing colour creating a lovely palette reflecting on the textured wet sand. I had to capture the next few minutes of light. Even without a particular subject to focus the attention of the viewer i just like the image. Thank you again so much for the votes and kind comments on some of my previous uploads.

A lovely, subtle image, and while there may not be a particular subject, I'd say the soft shapes in the foreground give a good entry point, and the ribbon water lead the eye towards the skyline. Very pleasing.

I agree with Allan. My eye is drew into the picture by the line of colour at the edge of the water. Also, the graduation of hues vertically across the frame appeals to me greatly.
