Fairly Furry Fella for Fefe

By ChiliMan
Diane ( Fefe ), as a thank you for uploading the Little Fat Fluff Bomb, hereís something I went looking for from the archives. A little moth on the wall outside the bathroom. Taken just over 3 years ago.

Not amazing shots Ďcos taken indoors under the wall light and the camís got no image stabilisation. I tried to brace myself as firmly as poss while taking the shots. Hopefully Iíve brought out enough detail with some processing.

Good shots or not, I just had to share the furriness with you Grin

Thanks for the response to my Silly Sunday shots, people. Itís been grinful reading them GrinGrin

EDIT: Major thanks to Lynne ( LynneJoyce ) for identifying this as a Yellow Tussock Moth [Euproctis lutea].

That is definitely the hairiest moth I have ever seen. Fifty years ago it would have people yelling 'Get yer hair cut!' I'm amazed that it can fly!

Lovely furry chap nicely captured. Don't know what it is but it also appears here -

and the guy who took that didn't know what it was either. No matter, as long as the moth knew!

Looks like someone needs to make further inquiries as to ancestry, with possible hints of a hedgehog somewhere down the line!!
