Fairy Glen Molehills

By hwatt
Fairy Glen, Skye, Scotland

This magical wee place is known as the Fairy Glen and is close to Uig at the north end of Skye it has become very popular and unfortunately rather sanitised with all but gardened footpaths extending everywhere throughout the minature hills dotted about the Glen. Doubtless "for your convenience", not to mention the spectre of raising excessive revenue without basic facilities. Money For Nothing as Dire Straits would say. That said it's very pretty and distinctly Hobbiton never-the-less I do wish they had let it be.

4 shot panoramic stitch, miracle of miracles no persons in any frame whilst the sun briefly made an appearance.

It certainly does bring hobbits to mind.
Very nicely done.

What an interesting landscape. Those autumn colours show it off well.

Last time I was there (a long time ago) there were no paths.
It is an odd "feeling" place, well worth a visit.
Well captured!

I would love to visit and see what feelings I get there. I like the way you have included so many molehills in your frame, and the touches of autumn that are showing. When I googled for more interesting information , I found a picture with some people standing atop the "castle", which gave me some sense of scale. Thank you for introducing me to this fairyland.
