I spent a pleasant hour or so with a friend near a little stream on Saturday afternoon. Although we were working in the same area we came away with very different images. I recently attended a Light and Land workshop on simplifying composition and I was trying to put the theory into practice.
I used my zoom lens to close right in on the detail of the leaves, rocks and water. As the light level was fairly low I didn't need to add filters to slow the flow of the water. I work with a tripod as I need to use live view thanks to a developing cataract.
I welcome any comments, especially whether you think I achieved the aim.
