Family Walk

By martinl
The last shot I took as I walked back to the car on Saturday from Padley.

Spotted this family coming across the bridge toward Padley. Didn't have time to take the camera off the tripod, so just picked the tripod up, held it to my chest, framed up and shot!! really liked the light coming through the mist behind them but also rim lighting the people too.

Not my usual type shot, but kind of liked this one. No puppies were harmed in the taking of this shot!!

I love it for it's simplicity and what it shows. Could be critical and say crop this or crop that but its not what the shot is about, it just works Martin and works really well.
You'll never know how much the puppies appreciate this fine piece of work, you saved a fair few here, bless ya.

Not one to set the gallery alight, but a nicely seen capture. Like the back lighting.

Thank you. No, I didn't think it would have great gallery appeal, but I liked it as soon as I saw it.

Martina might be quite nice! Or should we just opt for MrsEEK? Wink

Simple, straightforward, and super use of light. Hope they only used one serviette! Smile

As Simon says, the essence of the shot is all there, a little crop here or there may tighten things up, but it's a mighty fine shot as it stands ... nicely seen indeed, well done mate!!!

A very different shot from the day, but an excellent capture of the mood, and light is excellent.

Wonderfully atmospheric shot, Martin, with the rays casting down on that young family. I agree that a crop wouldn't hurt, but it has enormous appeal all the same.
