Despite the distractions of the BG, I feel this works well; the pose and the outfit do well to lift the subject from the BG whilst the BG still adds to the shot. (A touch of 'double-dutch' perhaps but I hope you understand what I mean!! Smile)

Street and fashion come to mind, just like you said. The background is integral to this shot and make it work. Excellently lit too. Cracking image

Strangly enough I agree the BG is complicated but for some reason seems to work , another example of there being no rules,having said that I would like to have seen a little more shadow from the girl on the wall, probably there is light leaking behind her to wash it out as I see no light source on the right.Also the BG on the left could definitly have been shaded by casting a soft shdow across it, at the moment the left hand side tends to dominate the image.
