An African Wild Hunting Dog pup sports its beautiful coat for all to see. They are one of Africa's most distinctive (and threatened) species, though for some reason are often confused by safari-goers with Hyaenas (usually when told about the rarity of Wild Dogs, they are convinced they have seen them, when, in reality, they've seen the relatively common - but still impressive - brown hyaena).
Taken near Bela-bela, in Limpopo Province, South Africa.
