feeding black woodpecker

By olafo
I was on a trip shooting macro when I discovered a black woodpecker. I switched to a telephoto lens and waited for about 1/2 hour. And suddenly this scene appeared in front of me. Had to boost op the ISO to get a sharp image.

Great to get a shot like this, they are usually very wary birds. I saw them in France last week but couldn't get near enough for a photo

Great shot and a bonus to capture this feeding which is strange as both birds look mature. Very difficult to get close to these birds - I have tried all this week SmileSmileSmile
