Felton's Ironmongers

By TrevBatWCC
Back in the main town centre of Ramsey, passed by here, Felton's Ironmonger’s shop. The façade and architecture made me feel like it was part of an open living museum, as you would find in such as Beamish. Thought it worthy of a shot - upload…and I’m getting to the bottom of the barrel-scraping stage now for holiday images… 🥺

Many thanks to Oliver (bliba) for his User Award on my previous upload, Looking back , and also to Helen (helenlinda) for her User Award on my earlier upload Sulby River, Ramsey , most appreciated 🏆👍

Great capture, it looks like a great place to have a long time browsing, a shop that sell everthing.

My goodness, my late hubby would have enjoyed a look around there Trev.
Looks enormous - must be a lot of DIY folks in IOM.

Definitely a touch of the Beamishes about that, Trev, absolutely. I recall a shop front like that. with doors recessed between windows in Matlock when we were there last year.

The sort of shop common in most towns and cities. But most have gone now Trev.

How lovely. I remember when there were two similar shops in the area where I lived when I was a youngster. They were filled with all sorts of interesting things, and I can still remember the smell of pink paraffin and esso blue.

Please tell me they sold fork handles ... or four candles ... and the rest! Marvellous!

I love an old-fashioned ironmonger's at any time, but this architecture is a treat.
