Female kestrel

By oldgreyheron
An entirely different type of image grabbed at RSPB Saltholme near the Saltholme hide on Monday. This female kestrel was hunting and hovering - this is quite a significant crop, but I think testimony to the quality and versatility of the borrowed 300mm L IS lens and 1.4x extender.

Thanks for your many recent votes and encouraging comments over the last few days.
