Thanks for your comments on the boat image. Sorry I haven't been around , had a very busy time this week.
I have been fiddling around with my camera and fiddle as it ( the fiddle ) is currently refusing to stay in tune , the lovely warm sunshine and my practice room being up in the attic where John doesn't have to hear me, has affected the strings.Anyway I think I have made good use of the light and shadows in the attic .
What do you think ?
Thanks for looking and all criticism definitely welcome.
Regards Mary

Love the Grin

And way to grab that light, Mary! V1 is a cooler shot but I like the inclusion of the rose in the 2nd. V2 is definitely a more romantic image.

Lovely lighting Mary.
The second one is a belter with great light and the wee floower ads a nice bit of interest.

I think #1 is graphically stronger, with the glowing red wood against the dark background. It needs more depth of field, though, to keep everything sharp. The depth of field in #2 is good but the composition doesn't really grab me. I do like the inclusion of the rose, though — it works well and doesn't look at all contrived, despite the lack of any obvious relation between roses and violins.

You are really on a full run through my images thanks , I have read all your comments and this is the last one.

Will watch out depth of field issues in future shots , probably created a difficulty here for myself because of the angle I placed the fiddle at when setting up.

Regarding the connection , I had been playing " My Love Is Like a Red, Red Rose " on the fiddle and was inspired by the music to have a go at something different.
Thanks for your interest and help regarding points for improvement.
Regards Mary
