Film Friday (Real) Plus.

By mistere
Another really 'real' film Friday offering. Taken with a 'real' Film camera (not mine)
on real Film (also not mine). The 4th image from the series.
Tweaked to remove a few artifacts and increase the colour.
With thanks to JD for the loan of both the film and the camera.
The Plus is a couple more from the Rome Archive.
A sight not seen by most visitors to the city.
The original legend says that throwing a coin into the Trevi ‚– with your back to the fountain,
will ensure a return to Rome. Thanks in part to the film “Three Coins in the Fountain,” a newer story
says that throwing one coin means a return to Rome, a second coin leads to a new romance, and a third coin
leads to marriage. Every day thousands of euro's are unwittingly donated to local charity's.
Early in the morning the coins are gathered together and vacuumed out of the water, bagged up and escorted away.
A very slick and efficient operation, fascinating to watch.
Many thanks for your votes comments and awards for yesterdays offering. All much appreciated.

A lovely purple haze in your lead, Dave, smashing.
And now I know what happens to the coins, I wont bother returning to fish mine out. Wink

Presumably, all that preamble about Rome is merely a distraction to make us forget that you don't have the foggiest what the flower in your lead image is...Tongue
Neither do I...

Some bloke in his cacks hoovering up the money sort of takes the romance out of it. Smile

Kind of does, but it all goes to charity so we can overlook the unromantic aspect. It needs doing every day though.
The all that money is very temptating. Especially to the ever growing migrant population.

Love the colour and soft focus in the lead. Vacuuming up the coins made me smile.

An interesting 'real' lead image and fine captures from Rome, Dave.

The film image is beautifully detailed I like the slightly hazy feel to it however the Rome images really takes the Romance out of the equation.

Ps I think the flower may be a type of Hibiscus 😁😁
