Final flight

Taken at the recent flying legends display at Duxford,unfortunately the aircraft was destroyed after a mid air with a skyraider. This was her last take off.although the aircraft was destroyed the pilot was unhurt (probably requires a change of flight suit,never seen a guy get out a plane so fast).

Might post some shots of the last part of the flight later

It is such a shame about the crash, I had heard about it and wondered which one it was. I have seen this one many times at airshows, just thank goodness the pilot wasn't hurt.

What a terrible shame. I was there that day. I didn't see the actual collision, but I did see the end of the Skyraider wing falling to ground and was then relieved to see a parachute open. I was amazed at some of the video footage I subsequently viewed (google flyingfilm.co.uk and scroll down to the second (shorter) film of the collision). The short version concentrates on the collision and aftermath.
