With such an Ecclesiastical name, you might expect Cropwell Bishop to have a Cathedral rather than a parish church. However a small church is what it has, dedicated to St Giles.
This is taken from the back of the church, so you are looking at the East Window here.
For such a small church it has a lovely set of 6 bells, with practice night every Monday. I have tried ringing them, but I must admit that I have forgotten all the different peels and so forth, so whilst I can happily ring call changes, I cannot get to grips with the intricacies of Plain Bob minor!
As many churches do, Cropwell struggles to find ringers, so I must admit to tinges of guilt that I didn't try harder with reviving this childhood skill.
The shot is HDR (No I hear you all cry, I don't believe it!) from 6 images processed with Photomatix3 which really is an improvement on the old version and worth trying if you haven't already.
The Cropwell series continues!!
