First Bend

By 213hardy
Had a night at Sunderland Dogs, yesterday. Took my camera along to see what i could capture. Fully aware that my current camera probably wasn't up to the job, got varying results. This is probably one of the best, certainly one of my favourites. Pretty sure my camera was on the edge of it's capabilities. Conditions were very wet, slight mist, under floodlights, no flash allowed.

Let me know what you think and where i have gone wrong/right.

All things considered, a good shot. It conveys the speed of the dogs. Might have been better with a side on rather than rear view but in such situations you don't get a lot of space to move about to get the best clear view., so well done.

I really like the composition. There is a great sense of speed. The grain due to your equipment gives it a retro look. Would love to see what you can do with better camera.

Thanks Jill, I did manage to get some of the dogs coming off the last bend and coming out of the traps, but they really haven't come out to well. Might post a couple anyway, just for critique. Am hoping to upgrade sometime thisyear, then will definitely have another go.

I like this shot. It really conveys a sense of speed. Maybe not taken from the ideal position, but an interesting shot nonetheless.
