First day opening

Carrying on with trying for local business shots ( as noticed on a local nostalgia page ) everyone loved talking about the people standing outside their shops in the 50s 60s 70s and their stories i thought i'd capture the now for tomorrow.
this couple took over a market round house which was a taxi rank and before that an old veg market store when i was but a nipper . great to see an evolution and that area is taking off. the old cattle market across from it will be built on soon to much controversy so a good place to serve nice sandwiches and coffee. its all coming into its own .

Exactly !!! food was good too. i know it's going to get tough out there and being a part of the promotion wont directly benefit me in any way but overall i feel it'll help others and the town , it seems apparent there are a few others with the power who like to see someone else's success and ideas become useful to them and some of their friends making it tricky .

As Leo says: they remind me of a couple who used to run a sandwich bar near Coventry Station - in a building that's now been demolished (as has the office I used to work in)...

funny i knew the woman vaguely and the chap is familiar ?? mind you doing this hobbie and events i nearly know everyone by sight !!
i'll ask next time i see them .
