For a first attempt - I think youve done well, maybe a tad over smoothed but youve definatley got the jist of it.

A pretty good 1st attempt, there is still visable detail to the skin, personally i would tone down the sat's a wee bit as it's looking a touch red on cheekbones and crown of head, Don't give up! Smile

This is a very contemporary look. I would say the smoothing is a little aggressive, but thats only my personal taste. I dont know what type of effect you were going for.

Not to retire from the field so easily...all efforts worth while take some work. Support is here as you can see.

As has been mentioned, maybe a bit overdone.
If you do the smoothing on a layer, it would be worth scrolling through the blending modes/options, and also altering the opacity of the layer, as this will give you more control on the overall look.

Portrait Proffessional is a fun tool to use,, and again, if used as a blending layer over the original gives some very good results.
Keep at it.
