First Light

By TrevBatWCC
Back to ‘normal’ images! Not my first capture during my Whitby holiday last week, but certainly the earliest in the day…ever! It was taken at 4:05 a.m., looking north-east over the West and East piers. Now, I have to confess that I wasn’t actually out ’n’ about with my camera at that unearthly hour – I got up out of bed to go to the toilet, and on looking out of my hotel room window, saw this lovely sky! So, after visiting the loo, I got the camera out and captured the scene through the window Wink

Isn't it great when you get such a lovely view from your hotel window. Always a bit hit and miis. You've captured this gorgeous pre-dawn light perfectly with some great clouds thrown in.

A very fine view at a ridiculously early hour. This is what we lazy types miss so often I'm afraid. Knowing that doesn't make it any easier to get up though, for me at least Sad

I can see why you wanted to get a shot of this - lovely peach sunrise sky.

I admit to also having shot the occasional image from a hotel room window, and even some in the hotel room itself.
