First Light on Helvellyn

By bazhutton
This is a view of the summit of Helvellyn, with the distinctive cross shelter clearly visible. You can also make out the large cairn which marks the highest point.

Swirral Edge is nicely illuminated by the rising sun, with the shadow of Striding Edge cast upon it. The cloud inversion provides an interesting back-drop too.

Thanks for looking.

Definately needs to be viewed large, for a wonderful view out over the hills caught by the early sun.
