Flashes

Took the car to the local car wash - they do an excellent job for £4 then went for a short walk at Ashton and Neuman's flashes.
These are reclaimed lime beds which provide an excellent area for short walks and bird watching.The industrial past of the area creates unique conditions that allow many unusual species to thrive. The presence of salt has enabled many seaside plants to establish. Will try and go back in Spring and Summer when there should be more wildlife about.
