Flashing a Hopper

By ChiliMan
Hey, people. Glad you liked the ‘ad’ for Silly Sunday Grin

AlexAppleby asked how about one for the girls: I’ll work on one for the coming Sunday Smile Hope it doesn’t disappoint!

In the meantime, here are 4 shots I took yesterday evening (out of a buhjillion – such is my success rate with close-ups sometimes, especially when fiddling around with flash!) of a grasshopper.

V1 is the last shot I took and I think he’d had enough and was trying to get away from me Grin

Super set, Andrew, with V.3 being the winner for me, love the composition and the way he is giving you THAT stare Wink Carol

Lol...I bet he wasn't amused by the flashes, Carol Grin

Actually I had a tough time deciding between Vs 2 and 1 for the lead image. I hadn't even considered V3!

A top set of macros, I'm rather taken with v2. The details and clarity is exceptional in all, in fact I'd go so far to say as you'd be hopping mad not to give these your vote!Smile I'd be very careful in future Andrew, if you get caught flashing I doubt the police and your neighbours would see the funny side!!!WinkGrinTongue

V2 blew me away, an absolute stunner in detail and clarity. It does have a rather startled expression though, probably because you were flashing.

Wow...amazing colours & detail to these wonderful captures of the Hopper Andrew.
I like all of them, but slightly favour V2, as he looks as if he's turning to look at you, just to make sure you get his good side.
