They still give me a thrill too Terry. Hard working wood peckers really. They can hollow out and old tree trunk to quite a size for their nest. They can butcher the wood in old snags as they dig in for grubs and bugs. Colours change quite a bit but they look best in spring. TG

Love it, Nice shot TG Grin.

We have a couple hanging around here but they are way to shy and take flight at the slightest sound or movement.
