Flighty Blue Tits

By teocali
Still trying to get images of birds on the move. they are just so quick!! Here is a trio of Bluey captures taken yesterday afternoon, in no particular order of preference.
Settings: F5.6, 1/1250sec, ISO250, 420mm, manual, handheld.

Once again many thanks for taking the time to vote and comment on my Dunnock - very much appreciated.

I would say 90% there Sylvia, good catch light in the eye in all 3 but not quite there with perfect focus and detail, must admire you for such enthusiasm and a wonderful attempt, a very difficult subject here as Richard mentioned.

A brave attempt Sylvia. Birds in flight is just about the most difficult area and you are so close this time. Spot on.

I echo Nikontuk's comments, it is wonderful that you chronicle your progress. V3 is so very close, these shots are so difficult to achieve, I look forward to you bagging that special one.
David

They're all a little soft but the shutter speed is just about right: there's just enough blur to show the movement. Given that they're moving fast enough to blur at 1/1250th, getting sharp focus on them is going to be really difficult!
