Another well worked image Peter, although if you tweaked your blacks slight and adjusted your contrast you would have had a more dense background. This would have in turn given that floating feeling. However at the moment your image is very flat and two dimensional.

The composition and shadow is good but the background lets the photo down Peter, why not try adding a few textures.
