Opened on 29th December 1720 by Floriano Francesconi under the name Venezia Trionfante, or Triumphant Venice, it soon became known by its patrons as “Florian’s”, and was the most famous “botega da caffè” (cafè) of the day. Initially there were only 2 simply furnished rooms, and by the mid 1700s included 2 new rooms. At the end of the 19th century it adopted a resident ensemble, which can often been seen playing on the terrace outside (V4). At €8.50 for a Coca Cola I decided to give it a miss…
Looks a little better seen large if you have the time.
