I have not been online for about 2 weeks. I have been traveling across the southeastern part of the United States. Specifically Georgia, South Caroline and North Carolina. I took the photo at an old plantation in Charlston South Carolina. This property is owned by 11th generation of the Drayton family from England. I'm not sure exactly where but some relatives still reside in England. This was a working plantation (rice farming) during the US Civil War. Known by the locals at the time as the years of unpleasantness. It sits on 2000 acres of land and is know the home to many forms of wildlife and gardens.

This was one of the few flowers I remember growing in the garden of the house where I grew up. Digitalis - poisonous but beautiful.
