Flower flotsam

By oldgreyheron
We've just come back from a week's vacation in Washington DC to visit our son who's living and working there. We did all the touristy things and I took a large number of photos, mainly "holiday snaps" on the IXUS and PowerShot. Most images are populated by lots of others, like us, visiting and enjoying the sights, and I have many to look through. As I've just started that review process this close-up of floating azalea flowers and leaves in a water feature at the United States Botanic Garden caught my eye, so I thought I would share the colourful somewhat abstract image. The second image puts this one in context.
