FLOWERING-RUSH Butomus umbellatus

Seen and photographed at Lanark Lochan. Far as I can remember, I have never seen this beautiful plant before. There were not many of them, and they were spread about with a yard to three yards between them; mostly in single growths. I think there may be quite a few more next year.
