You've done well capturing this lovelu in-flight shot. No suggestions as I have neither the camera nor the skill to do this!

Love it Joan, very well taken, not easy.

Joan I am certainly no expert to offer advice, but if you go into my gallery on page 10, there is a shot of a buzzard in a tree. Banehawi of the critique team did a good write up for me. I try to stick to these rules he gave me when taking in flight shots. That is not to say it always works for me though Grin.
This is a good capture though. I like the way the wing feathers look like small pleats. Moira

Nicely captured in flight shot, Joan: I am no use at this sort of thing and can only admire those who can pull it off.

Well captured Joan, the bird is nicely placed to the left.
Not an easy subject to capture but you have done extremely well. One suggestion is to increase the ISO to at least 400 this will give you faster shutter speed availability. I'm no expert and have difficulty with these as well. Good luck and keep practicing.
Good shot Joan, you have captured this well - it seems a very peaceful image. Louise

There's quite a bit of noise in there and it's not very sharp.
You haven't told us what lens you were using so I'm guessing this was cropped from a much larger shot.
In my mod. I've de-noised it using "Noiseware" and tweaked it slightly with the shadows/highlights tool in CS5, then sharpened it. I'd also consider adding some canvas on the right to place the bird closer to a third.

Hope this helps.
