Flying Harley

By thedon1941
Don't know the story behind this Motorcycle, but it looked such an impressive piece of machinery......I was almost expecting Batman to pop out and ride it away. Taken in one of the exibition units at the Farnborough air show.

Presumably, it's a drag racer of some kind.

Intriguingly, it's wearing a slick on the front and a cut rear.

I have to say I am not very well up on motorcycles, and I don't know what the connection between Harley Davidson and Airbus is, but it seemed a bit of a beast to me and I had to snap it. There is a great deal of "plumbing" on the other side, also very intriguing but have no idea what any of it does. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. Don

I've no idea what the connection might be either, except that 'Airbus' must be a sponsor.
The machine's appearance tells me it's a drag racer, there are plenty of clues, if you follow drag racing but I can't say more than that.

WOW! I bet you'd like to turn up for work on this Don, if you havn't fully retired that is, in which case, this would do nicely for a little run around on a SundaySmile
I must've missed this at the Show, but there was SO much to see, I guess I could be forgiven for that.
All the best mate,

It was in one of the exhibition halls but it was in 2010, and you most certainly are forgiven. I might upload a couple of shots from the other side so that you can see the "plumbing".
