Flying the Flag

By NDODS
This image continues the Dungeness theme quite nicely, it depicts a small section of flags which I believe are crafted from disused and discarded tarpaulins which can be found along this particular stretch of coast throughout the year. This recycled form of bunting was found hanging in one of Dungeness's many small Artists Studios.

A big thank you to you all for taking the time out to view, comment and vote on yesterdays somewhat different upload 'Sodden Moggies'. I am glad that it brought back so many memories. A special mention is heading off to achieverswales(Trev) for his most welcomed User Award.

I sincerely hope that you all have a great day whatever the weather. For me who knows...

Regards as always Nathan

I like this, the single flag being in focus gives it a very melancholy feel, perfectly suited to the location. Great series of shots

How very beautiful, and very Dungeness - art created out of debris.
The focus and angle are perfect, but I would crop off the top to get rid of the oblong white blob which is a bit of a distraction.

Lovely! I tried blocking the top with my hand but I think it reduces the interest of the picture.

A well-seen and well-seized opportunity with an unusual and attractive subject. Use of shallow dof is spot-on.

I was reminded of a walk round Biddenden vineyard and my efforts to photograph the coloured tags used as markers on lines stretched above the rows of vines. Your image is more artistic in every way!

Nice image Nathan. The crop on v2 tidies it up.

It reminds me of bygone school sports days for some reason. Not sure if there is some sort of subliminal message there. Smile

Thanks for the pm. I was imagining more of a letterbox crop, keeping the width of the frame. Pale bokeh is the bane of such images, it's darn difficult to clone out!
Cheers,
