Flyover, Docklands...

By pikey
I love concrete in building/architecture...for me this is all about the subtlety of light and shade and the tone of surfaces...I have taken a few of these, and I am working on a tryptich(or whatever the spelling is)...For the time being here is one of the images.

Wouldn't imagine it'll fly off the shelf, but hey hum...

this is really good example of minimal, actually my favourite since you started uploading again. A series of these at a massive scale could look terrific.

edit - might it work better if we could see the whole of the shadow line on the centred column or would that be too much highlight?

Thanks, Barry. I think so-as it stands, I like the way that the little shaft of light on the centre column emulates (almost) the shape of the light top right.

I think a tiny sliver is all that I wanted.

Just viewed your wonderful gallery of pictures on your website - thanks to a comment on "darkphotographer" portfolio.
Your work reminds me of the work of Pete Turner, one of my favorites.

Many thanks, Jan. I'm off to find out who Pete Turner is now... ; )

I really like this, Tim.

I'm undecided about the extreme right, however - oart of me wonders if perhaps you should cropped so that the edge of the second supprt was at the frame's edge, thus excluding that small bit of sky that seperates it.
