We went to a local Ontario Hockey Assoc, Juniors (just before NHL) game last week. This is a photo of "our" goalie concentrating just before getting a shot.

It's generally a good team, though we lost 4-2. However there wasn't a single fight the whole game - usually they try to impress the scouts so they fight a lot.

It seems I had to shoot at ISO 640 or higher sometimes in order to get a decent shutter speed. Any suggestions for how to keep the shutter fast while reducing the graininess??

Nice action capture!

Who are they affiliated with if theyre pre-NHL? Usually that level is the AHL?

I'm not sure that they are affiliated with any NHL team. They're not part of the AHL (we're in Canada and the AHL is, I think, US only?). Looking on their page, they seem to be part of the Canadian Hockey League though. Some of the players (Denis Potvin and others) have gone on to the NHL though.

Thanks for the comments.

The Ottawa 67's are in the OHL (ontario Hockey league) These boys play junior and are eligible depending on their age for the NHL draft. I live in Western canada and we have the WHL (western hockey league)

Great Pic !
