I title this shot, Focussed Power, with three things in mind. 1, is the obvious, it is a Ford Focus, but not as most of us know it; this beastie punches out 960 BHP to the wheels, and that is 2, the Power. 3, is the mental focus and skill it takes to handle that amount of power, in a stripped down light-weight body, on a race track, and especially this track; it was shot at Knock-Hill in Scotland, and it is a very tricky, and narrow track, especially tricky coming out of the last corner, the very tight Taylor's Hair-pin. So, this is the Focus pictured just after the driver has straightened on exit, and is powering up onto the long start/finish straight.
The car was so fast, I was caught out several times, and cut off parts of the car as I tried to pan with it from the edge of the track.
I've processed this to show the air and dirt being pushed ahead of the car, and all the air turbulence behind it. Happily the driver braking real hard for Taylor's got into the shot too, and nicely blurred at that. Power Goes For Glory, sounds good too..... vavavoooom.
