This is one of the simplest images I've made with the harmonograph, but one I really like. The two platforms are tuned an octave apart (2:1) which is about the limit for the machine geometry. The 'follow' aspect is particularly effective if the image is printed and rotated.

thanks for all the votes and comments on 'start me Up' yesterday, most appreciated!

Most impressive, Andy, what an amazing harmonograph pattern, sort of Möbius band glorified, pleasing to the soul as an octave. Bravo!

Morning Andy! Beautiful organic shape and pattern and love the simplicity of the shape.

The award is for the image but also for posting some different photographic art forms that are so beautiful to view.

Have a good day.

Thanks very much, Kath and Dave for your awards today, most appreciated! Despite looking quite simple this was a difficult image to capture, with several 10's of trials with many adjustments before I was happy with it. Very satisfying in the end. It would have been easier if I had a large hole in the ceiling and had made the harmonograph much taller! I don't think Liz would have been too happy with this approach though. Thanks again, and thanks for your comment Fabio, and all the other votes.
