At the time I was wondering, if these are eggs, they must have been laid by chicken, chickens are female, females are not allowed on the mountain, anything female is not allowed on the mountain, so how did the chicken get away with it?

I bet there's a hugely valid bit of reasoning behind 'bending' that rule...
