For Helen- at the end of her time

By helenlinda
A very close friend of mine died suddenly this afternoon. She was in hospital with a urine infection and had a heart attack and died. Her family were not with her.
It was such a shock.

Helen was such a gentle lady and yet her death seemed so hard and harsh.

I've gone through a whole range of emotions this evening and have thought long and hard about what to upload as my tribute to her.

This is the edge of a clock that I used for some outdoor reflections back in the summer. I've sharpened the edge to emphasize the harshness of it, compared with the softness of the rest of the image.

To me its sybolises the sharp and hard end of her time. If you scroll through the images I am sure you could find your own words to describe some of the emotions that I have experienced this evening and which colour can represent. In fact colour seems to express my feelings better than words in this instance.

Thanks for looking

Yet again Helen, you have lost someone dear to you. With these five images here,I can understand the range of emotions you must have been going thro'.You alone will know what these were.It is not for us to ''guess'' or comment what these were.It would be understandable that you will feel a certain amount of anger due to the cicumstances of your friends death, and I will say however,I think this is clearly evident in image No 4.You have worked on one image here. The only change is the colour to make it five images. They do represent five images of different visual qualities to us.But to you, they mean a hell off a lot more.Stay strong Helen.

Very sad to hear your news, you've been through a rough patch. I'm going to come back to study these at greater leisure later - for the moment V4 has drama and power, but V1 still beats it for simple beauty of light.

My sincerest sympathy - death is hard enough to accept when you (think) you're prepared for it.
This is a lovely tribute, showing the gush of feelings.

When our earth time (clock) is cut short (angles) we inevitably feel angry (red) but fond memories are the ones to concentrate upon (pastel shades) and be thankful for the friendship you experienced, reflecting (reflections) on the way Helen enhanced your life. Send her your love, gratitude and wish her a happy and colourful journey.

No more of a tribute could you give to a friend Helen, sorry about your loss. Just remember the good times and the colours she brought to yours.

Really sorry to hear about your friend Helen, my dearest friend was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, which bowled me over completely. We've been close friends for nearly forty years. She is doing okay now, but I can imagine how losing a friend must feel.
Your tribute is great and my personal favourites are 3 & 5, my thoughts are with you,
