For you mam

By gary_d
It is with a very heavy heart I upload this image and it is a tribute to my late mother.

Mam lived in her home for sixty years and she planted these white bells when she moved in, she always looked forward to seeing them as she said summer was just round the corner when they bloomed.

This is the first year in all that time she will not see them.

It was not easy taking these images but I thought I had to do it for her.

V2 is A small section of them which the image does not do justice.

Thanks for looking.

Regards. - gary

Your Mum would have loved these shots of her flowers, Gary: anniversaries of this sort are always hard to get through.
The clump is nicely captured but the solo stem featured in V 1 is my favourite.

Gosh Gary, where has that year gone.... I guess maybe it has seemed a lot longer for you though, I am sure your mam would have loved this image, and what a lovely memory it brings of happy days with her at home. A very touching message it brings, take care.

Its six months since we lost my mother Linda but the flowering of the bells was an important time of year for Mam which makes it a hard time for us, but knowing how much she loved them I just thought it right to show them.

I think it's very touching that you find memories of your mother in these white bells, Gary, and I'm sure there are several other things that bring back beautiful memories like this, too. Take some indoors, put them in a little vase and light a candle by their side, then send your love to her.
