Forever Optimistic

By NevJB
This appeals to me as I use to fish off Southend Pier in the late 60s/early 70s. [Very] occasionally we would catch something (not necessarily a fish), but if not we could retreat from the cold into a cafe or the entertainments. Nothing much has changed, except that the fish are far fewer now.

Well with four rods I suppose he has four chances here. Great mono, love the theme, I used to do this as a teenager off West Bay pier in Dorset, you never knew what you might catch, or not 🐠🐟🐋

Great mono Nev. I spent many a happy day as a child wading in the mud at Chalkwell, pearl of the Thames Estuary ! And then a long walk along the Pier.

Great capture, optimism is needed for the future I think.

He chose a good place to cast his lines... Let's hope he catches dinner...
Well, spotted photo opportunity. Isabel GrinGrin
