Love them both.

this image has real style - I would prefer it either without that bright display shelving (move J back a touch) or with stylish vase or two on display (same shade as her dress) to mask those bright spots.

The statuesque pose whilst showing movement is a stroke of genius.
I would disagree with Howard about the bright spots - they add life to the material and shape to her form beneath.

Actually, Joceline trained as a ballet dancer in her teens. So she's already qualified to whirl, I think... One of John Tisbury's most notable images is of her feet, in ballet shoes, en pointe, and with her ankles cuffed together.

A wonderfully fluid and elegant image - delighted to make it 30! Must dash - a bit of Danish oiling to finish ... make of that what you will! 🥴

Danish, not Swedish? It must, therefore, be unrelated to Samantha and Sven...

I am not into portraiture as such. But on seeing this particular shot I must admit it is very good and yes I would not mind taking a similar shot. So well done John. David

Stylish and classy but must say I do like Kaybbe's mono mod.

Very nice John. I'm sure there must be some, very unintentional, 'low shutter speed' images
in the archive. I'll have to have a look and see if there are any 'happy accidents' lurking
there. It's a very nice effect. Something to try, next time there's somebody in front
of my camera.

Both work for me - Love the feeling of movement..

The colours work so well to enhance this image, John.
I really like the result in both versions.
I think this type of shot works much better under a controlled environment and with a very well suited background, as you've proved here.

You will go to the ball Cinderella, but without the glass slippers!
Nice match of colours with the blue dress against the more muted background.

Great work with the low shutter speed, excellent composition and color, John! In my opinion, the shelves in the background are not in the image's spirit.

Wonderful color...what a bright blue gown....a near fashion photo, John. And, yes, I also find the shelves distracting. The movement is quite arresting.
