Ever notice when birds fly in a V formation, one side is always slightly longer than the other?
This is because there are more birds on that side..

Amazing how they know to fly in formation like this Smile After two days of skies like this (minus birds) it's back to overcast again... Sad

Very untidy! One of them needs to take charge and get some symmetry into that formation.

Wonderful sight these birds. Debs

Re: untidy---they exchange places every now and then to allow some to rest in the wind draft while others fly hard-- certainly does look messy

I have no idea how they know when and who gets to rest???
