Like the textures on the sand, the light really shows it up, I also like the way this stretch of ripples & water leads off into the distance. But getting up at 4:30 is just insanity! Can you tell I'm not a morning person.

Simply gorgeous. So, so simple but full of impact. Worth the early rise indeed.

Simple but effective - I like the light picking out the ripples in the foreground sand, and the cloud pattern really compliments and balances the foreground too.

Simple looking shot Pete, but you have caught some great light and sand patterns here. Frame compliments the image well also.

Very good, if that was a sunset with the light from the west it wouldn't have had half of the effect of this. Advantage of early start, also no one else around! Click.

The light and texture in the sand are lovely - well worth you getting up for!

Respect to you for getting up that early... I don't do mornings myself - the only time I ever see 4:30 am is when I'm on my way home from a night out on the razz! Smile

Nothing new to add to what's be said already, Pete - a very nice looking shot indeed. Particularly like the simplicity and the colour and the water running through the middle of the shot that draws the eye in.

Like it for it's understated simplicity. This sort of abstracty art stuff sells well at the moment...probably better than straight forward landscape work.

Thanks very much everyone. Smile

lol Nick - watch out for someone with an S2 Pro and 2 springer spaniels, that's the one you need to take out! Wink

Hi Kin - nah, the Lakes was a write-off - the light was hazy when I got there, and then it went soft, so I didn't get the image I was after. Never mind!

Hi Ian - yep, I see what you mean. I composed to limit the sky to a small part of the frame, but I chickened out of ommitting it altogether and making it an abstract. I might have a go and post it if it grabs me!

Thanks again,
