Shot in the company of Stuwhitt.
Shot RAW, 42mm focal length on my 18 - 55 USM (Kit Lens) 100 ASA, 1 sec at f8, tripod mounted, 0.4 underexposed.
Cropped, removed some debris, used the Shadow/Highlight filter to balance the light and dark areas, some dodging and burning,a little sharpening, and a border.
What do you think?
The light was poor, the clouds were brilliant, and the wind was almost blowing me off my feet.

Lovely and moody -- like the sandcastles in the foreground, too (if that's indeed what they are)
yup, spot on Anna, some kind soul had left them there, so who was I to pass up the chance to make them famous eh? lol
OK who took the bucket and spade?????
Where was this taken? and were is the fort?
The sandcastle makes it.

Andy - Its a corking wee place I found, very secret location, not telling many people about it just yet. I'll tell you though, so PM me and I'll reveal all.

Get in there quick
i hear they are going to demolish the lighthouse to make way for some flats
dont Andy, not funny. I would have to give up my photography, dont know how to shoot anything else, lol.
What is it about this place - is it always blowing a gale and freezing cold?
Another lovely shot Anthony.
Now I've got a tripod that won't blow away in the breeze .. I'm thinking about another visit to your lighthouse.

All the best.
