Hey Dan

Despite our previous differences, I like this shot. It's different and original.

Wouldn't mind those pocket aces next time I'm playing Hold 'em.

If I was to make one observation, the two aces in the flop should be "in focus" to match up with those in the pocket.

Previous differences ?? - I'm obviously missing something. Anyway nice original shot but PERSONALLY (no offence!!) I would have excluded the Bud bottle on the RH side as I think it detracts from the centre point of interest (the cards) - but hey what do I know.

Hmm, not my kind of image Dan, but I know really you just wanted to upload an image from your new camera, so I'll let it go without giving it a major grilling Grin

Not keen on PS effects just for the sake of them.

But welcome to the Nikon club, there aren't that many of us comapred with the white lens brigade, but we're generally happy to help.

If you want to see what a D50 is capable of check out the portfolio of strathb.

yeah i'm familair with strath b's work, was one of the deciding factors in getting one.

thanks for the comments guys. I know what you mean about the bud, it was just there as i set up some items to practice with my new camera. its bold label does draw attention a bit though.

i would agree regarding focus raziel, but i havent got a clue how to do it without shooting it all in focus and manually blurring the rest in PS or something.

csurry - indeed - it is just for the sake of it Smile didnt want my first serious picture to be of my shoddy front room table with a 99p deck of cards! just without it, it didnt have the slight surreal and pokerlike atmosphere about it!

All good though, keep em coming
