Hi Folks,
Many thanks for the c & c's on 'Colours of the Sun', especially Danny (danbrann), who gave his honest opinion and, when I didn't agree with him, came back to apologise. No apology necessary Dan, please keep commenting, it is the only way I will learn. The fact that the image bombed probably means you were right anyway. Smile
This evening's upload follows on from 'One Post' and is my chance to apologise to Andy Oliver (oll1e) again for stealing all his ideas regarding Sandsend. It was taken on a beautiful evening in early October when the conditions just cried out for the 10 stopper. Please view the Large Version to fully appreciate the wonderful colours and textures in the posts.
Thanks for dropping by this evening and thanks to those who have taken the time to visit my website, it is greatly appreciated. Smile

I reckon you should've nicked Fran Ash's Led Zep theme and called this Four Sticks!
Nice shot, all the same.

As you say the big stopper working the magic here on this lovely scene, great tones and a simple comp which works so well

That big stopper makes a lot of difference but I think it's the colour that is the real bonus David and of course the composition.

Like the composition. The 7 posts in the midground holds the image together.

Thanks folks, I'm pleased that it is the composition that stands out as I worked hard to get it just right. Smile

Ditto to everything thats been said above - fabulously serene image Dave - the beautiful warm tone of the sky,the milky smoothness of the water and those stark posts that grab your attention and pull you into the image combine perfectly to make a truly stunning composition - one that you should be so proud of. Well deserving of an RC & shorlisted by me for an EC.

Four post's should be wrong... 3,5,7,9 and so on, should be right?

In this case, 4 is beautiful and it simply works... Great effect from the bigstopper and the square format works well.
