Freakin'

By RockArea
An image from the Tuesday Jam Night ot the Church House Inn Stokeinteignhead. This is Brian on slide guitar. With Chris (behind) they are the Freak Bruvvers. As you might suspect the guitar is home made and someone joked,"I wouldn't know whether to play it or burn it!"

Thanks for your attention.

A very good image made that much better by the stage lighting. That guitar is a work of art and should eventually end up in a museum.

A very colourful character. A great image and love the guitar. I wonder what the music sounds like coming out of it...............Sandy

Brian has a distinct sound to his slide playing, Sandy, no soft soaring country sounds here. It's usually very staccatto and often right up the high end of the fretboard. This is the first time I've seen him use this guitar but the sound was much the same as when he previously played on a beat up Ovation electro accoustic.

Thanks all for your comments.

Talk about rough & ready!! Smile
Actually, it's a wonder the bark didn't all fall off when the wood dried. I got a slice through a tree to put my house number on, as I liked the bark around the edge. It fell off within a week.

Well shot in what was probably quite challenging light.
