While recently out birding at our local nature reserve, I wanted to test the Nikkor 200-500mm lens sharpness maxed at full zoom in an in flight shot.
To carry out this critical test I opted to go for a relatively slower flying bird than my usual whizzing duck captures, and settled for this inbound Gull as it flew in gracefully over the creek ..... light permitting, I doubled my usual action shutter speed to obtain a good freeze on the bird and clicked away as it arched itself into a nice flight pose. Quite impressed with the clarity and plumage detail of the frame ..... the Nikkor 200-500mm lens pairs up really well with the Nikon D7500 for my style of in flight bird photography.
Viewing large really is a whopper!
