Deffinately not too often that you get the chance to get this shot so far down river!! Heids....I love river swimming, but never thought about the Tees (noticing whats on your doorstep and all that). It would be very swimable at this point since the barrage has been constructed and the tide stops at Stockton.......though perhaps not through the ice!!

Re: River swimming. DigitalConvert...the other hazard on this stretch of the river is the Tees Princess pleasure boat that takes passengers from Stockton to Yarm. Could be worth checking the timetable before going in for a dip!!
