Beyond this fresco of the crucifixion was a nativity scene set out on the floor of the church. I wanted to include it as an historical counterbalance to the nativity. Even though ISO 3200 was the maximum available, I still needed a wide open lens. This put the nativity as a blurred distant image which, although not my intention, produced an image which worked in my favour. Sometimes limitations provide unexpected opportunities.
